TOPIC #1 - Everything Happens To Me Melody
Step #1 – Separate melody now. Try to expressive textures like rolls, change registers, slides, octaves.
Step #2 – Only comp voicing on Chord changes. Don’t pulse them.
Step #3 – Get the LH jumping down to hit some more bass notes for extra support
Step #4 – Try some light fills now
TOPIC #2 - Everything Happens To Me Melody
Step #5 – For 8 bars stay between 5 notes and create melodies
Step #6 – For the next 8 bars think rhythmic motifs. Repeat rhythms but can move around.
Step #7 – Develop your solo! Think about creating an arc.
