It was either in Brenden’s emails or in one of the recent podcast episodes (or both). It’s happening this year. I think it’s on version 4.0 right now, so I assume it will be called something like “5.0”. I think he’s always planning stuff which is great. To be honest, I have been receiving the emails for some years, but was always busy with school or upturning my living situation or something to sign up.

So yeah, it’s a different hosting platform (or at least something is optimized for speedier loading) plus all the gamification and stuff. Not that I necessarily need external motivation, but it’s nice to see “progress” in some way while grinding through something, kind of like language learning, you don’t feel progress, but some external indicator (like a words learned count or pages read) does wonders in keeping with motivation. Especially right now while I’m grinding through shell exercises

Threre’s going to be an update to the website this year which will fix the speed problem. I’m excited about the update, I want to see more coummunity (and maybe those progress bars and gamification won’t be too bad either)
