    Thanks Brenden. I feel that keeping the LH as a shadow works if I really put attention to it. Developing the same skill within the RH is much more of a technical issue. I try to improve through exaggeration – just hammering down the melody with the pinky while trying to calmly support with chord tones and extensions by the other fingers. It doesn’t sound nice, but I hope that it eventually will when I start to loosen up the exaggeration.

    Many thanks! I definitely need to work on my sensitivity, and I believe your advise supports the process with a useful mindset.

    I find it very helpful to learn solo piano tunes from watching ‘Tune of the Month’-videos at JPS. I have recently worked on ‘Like Someone In Love’ and Brenden’s videos were spot-on what I needed. He presents achievable goals for beginners (like me) and also some challenges for more advanced students. Most importantly, he gives me essential tools how to continuously develop my own style of harmonizing a tune.
