Step #1 – Structure A – Play altered voicing over the dominant chord in a 2-5-1 pattern with rootless voicings. Altered A is 3,b13,7, #9
TOPIC #2 - Tune Integration
Step #2 – Split Shells between hands for Ghost of a Chance with melody. Try to play first A section with metronome at 50bpm.
Step #3 – Pick 2 other ballads of your choice and practice splitting shells between your hands WITHOUT melody. You’ll start to see patterns in the way the harmony moves by doing this a lot.
