TOPIC #1 - Nearness
Step #1 – Start to visualize yourself comping for yourself while you play melody and harmonize.
Step #2 – Add some light created, voicings in the upper registers now to fill as textures.
Step #3 – Also feel free to apply traditional drop 2’s and upper structure voicings.
Step #4 – Separated melody phrasing from comping and chords for dynamic expression like a vocalist.
