#1 – LH Shells Voice lead through Minors, Dominants and Majors.
#2 – LH Rootless Voicings – Voicelead through
#3 – LH Rootless voicings – Isolated – Major, Minor, Dominant
#4 – Modern improv – use C minor pentatonic to solo with over a C-7.
A. Practice comping wit LH using 147 or 369
#5 – C Pentatonic LH Voicings – 369 or 736
#6 – Green Dolphin Street – LH Comping
A. Comp through tune, LH only, using just shells and voiceleading as much as possible
B. Comp through using rootless voicings. Try your best over -7b5.
#7 – RH Chord Tone Connections.
A. Play up and down each chord scale through Green Dolphin Street. Use Dorian, Mixolydian, and Ionian. RH Alone no tempo.
B. Solo RH Alone with ireal pro and use connecting notes to create step motions. Don’t do any skips just yet. Okay to repeat notes, and think patterns!
#8 – Add LH and put everything together.
