Lesson Plan:

Improv

Now that we have developed the 8th note flow, we want to break it up and practice playing concise phrases followed by a chord in the RH.
Step 1: Play isolated melody notes in RH, bass notes in LH, and fill in with RH chord in between melody notes.
Step 2: Repeat step 1 but expand melody notes into concise phrases.
Step 3: Repeat step 2 but you no longer have to be bound by starting on a melody note.
