Lesson Plan:

TOPIC #1 - Ghost of a Chance

Step #1 – Play in time, smoothly, with no gaps, watch your pedaling. Should be no breaks in sound for straight 8th ballad.

TOPIC #2 - Improv Exercises

Step #2 – Same 2-5-1 Exercises but try to add longer lines in now connecting through the phrase over the barline back into the 2-7 chord.
Keys of C and F Step #3 – Create lines but starting on the downbeat of 1 using a chord scale above to half step below approach.
Step #4 – Same exercises as last week but half step below to chord scale above through all chord tones.

TOPIC #3 - Improv Tune Integration

#5 – Use ireal pro with NO LH, RH only, and improv at 76 bpm. Think about more chord scale motion now with the bebop approach notes as the lego building blocks that connect chords together. You don’t need to use so many, just enough to connect as you move into new chord and you can also skip that as well. #6 – Try a stab at 110bpm and see what happens. No LH, with ireal pro.
