#1 – RH 2-5-1 3rds and 7ths, LH bass notes (q = 60)
a. Whole tone cycle (descending)
b. Circle of 5ths
c. Chromatic (descending)
#2 – Repeat Ex. #1 Using other inversion (7th and 3rd)
Tune Integration
#3 – “Autumn Leaves”
– Play chord progression using 3rds and 7ths (both inversions)
– First 8 bars, then complete entire tune
#4 – Add the melody using 3-note voicings
– RH two notes (3rd and 7th)
– LH bass
* If the melody does NOT include a chord tone, add a 4th note to complete the chord
